Humans of TapMango: Revati
We sat down with Key Account Specialist, Revati! She loves everything and anything Harry Potter related, is obsessed with crafting, and really work to improve her photography skills during the pandemic. Check out the full post to learn more about Revati!
What is your position at TapMango? How has it evolved since you started?
My current position here at TapMango is Key Account Specialist. I actually started off working as a Customer Support Representative and gradually moved into Customer Success and basically worked my way to where I am today! It’s definitely been a wild ride!
What are some aspects of your role that you really enjoy?
Honestly – I enjoy basically all of it haha. But if I really had to pick, I would have to say that watching my merchants fall in love with the program and growing their business with it has to be my favourite part about my role!
Describe your WFH desk situation?
I live in what you would call organized chaos hahaha. My work area is made up of two monitors (there would be more if my desk was long enough), my favourite mechanical keyboard, coffee, and hoards of Knick Knacks to fidget with throughout the day.
What do you do in your spare time? Learn any new skills during quarantine?
I am absolutely obsessed with crafting! You name a craft and I guarantee you that I’ve tried it or plan on trying it. During quarantine I got really into photography! I spent hours trying to perfect my photography technique and I think I’ve gotten pretty decent at it if I do say so myself!
What is something your work colleagues don’t know about you?
I mean, I’m pretty open to be honest – I don’t think that there’s anything about me that they don’t know. But if I did have to pick, I would say two things: one, I am DEATHLY afraid of bugs – except if I’m photographing them. Somehow my brain thinks of my camera as some sort of shield or armor which is extremely strange, but has allowed me to get some epic shots so I can’t complain. Two, I am an all or nothing person. Once I decide to get into a new type of craft or hobby, I will go absolutely all-in. I cannot tell you the number of giant containers filled with different craft supplies that I have in storage – let alone all the ones I currently have in my apartment.
What is one piece of advice you would tell 8 year old you? (on career pursuit, life, laughter and love)
Oh man…. so many things! But if I had to just pick one, I would tell 8 year old me to remember to not get so hung up on trying to pick a school with the best reputation, but a school with programs I would actually enjoy instead.
Top 3 binge worthy shows, book series, or movies? (and why?)
Oh jeez, honestly I love binging everything and love so many movies and shows lol. Of course Harry Potter is number one. As for why… well… it’s Harry Potter, that’s why. Two, I would honestly have to say Bones. I really enjoyed the show because you don’t just see detectives and cops solving crimes, you get to see the scientists, artists, lawyers, and their processes too. Also, who doesn’t love David Boreanaz? There are so many shows on Netflix and Apple TV that are amazing and aren’t really mainstream to be honest, but one that I found absolutely enthralling was Defending Jacob on Apple TV. I won’t give anything away here, but I definitely encourage everyone to go check it out!
